Sam and I are two of Dulux’s handpicked decorators. We are both registered members of the government's 'Trustmark' scheme. Which means that our technical skills have been independently checked, and we are subject to regular on-site inspections. You can be assured that due to the strict code of practice that we are both subject to, the work that we do will always be of the highest standard. Morley Lane

Morley carried out his decorating apprenticeship in Emsworth. He attended college and gained skills in bricklaying and carpentry. When the recession hit in the late 1980’s, Morley took a different career path, which eventually led him into a successful sales career. During that career, Morley learned the importance of delivering a high standard of work and outstanding customer care. This is something that is the bedrock of his business today.
Although successful in his sales career, Morley was conscious that the executive lifestyle was not allowing him to be about to see his kids grow up. Therefore in 2004, after coming into some money, he swapped his suits for the bib and brace overalls, setting up M.J.Lane Decorators. Instantly he was inundated with work, and has built a business that has a reputation for delivering exceptional work, which is something he values and protects wholeheartedly.
Morley has not only a good reputation locally, but also with Dulux. He has featured in their national advertising and brochures, as well as representing them at the national painting and decorating show. Dulux awarded Morley fellowship status in 2015, and he is one of Dulux's 12 UK Assesors and Coaches.
Sam
Sam grew up locally and decided upon leaving school, that he wanted to study to be a painter and decorator. He started his apprenticeship in 2009, and won the apprentice of the year after completing his first year of his training. He then went on to study for a further 2 years, and gained his NVQ levels 1,2 & 3 diplomas. Everything Sam does, from decorating, to cleaning up, to dealing with customers, is done with excellence.
Sam wanted to work alongside Morley for some time and eventually started working with him in 2015. Although Sam does carry out work on his own, he works as often as he can with Morley, and is happy to be associated with M.J.Lane Decorators. Like Morley, Sam has also been successful in being accepted as one of Dulux’s UK select decorators. He is a highly skilled decorator and can not only paint and wallpaper to a high standard, but can also gold-leaf, and produce marble effects for customers.
